With regard to obtaining justice for the common people of the rural areas, independence of Bangladesh was made in 1976 by the Village Court Ordinance. Later, on 09 May, 2006, the Village Court Act, which was amended in the year 2013, amended the year 2013 and has the jurisdiction to recover compensation ranging from 25000 to 75000 rupees. The main point of this act is that the dispute is settled locally. In the meantime, the people of the country are benefiting through this court, because of establishing a village court with the help of elected representatives, peace prevails and peace prevails through peaceful solution.
Acting Village courts in Bangladesh project, which is being implemented in Bangladesh through local government departments, local government, rural development and cooperative ministries, in the financial and technical cooperation of UNDP and European Union.
Through this court settlement of small civil and criminal cases (between Rs. 75,000 / = in the rural areas) through the court process.
